BESPOKE

Everyone with a feeling for fashion loves the distinctive Italian style of Pal Zileri, The label that has resisted the fashion industry’s move to mass production in countries with cheap labour. The ‘family’ at Pal Zileri care passionately about every garment they create. More than 40 years ago when Mr Barizza and Mr Miola, co-founded the Italian fashion house Gruppo Forall. They employed locals so they could create a ‘family’ business, this was shown as during the lunch hour they would all sit together and eat, with the co-founders at the head of the table. Even now they have not forgotten their roots, and so all the 1250 employees split in half every lunch and dine together, with the head of the table still occupied by either the co-founder or the close family member of the original co-founders.

With the existence of the mere “bespoke” tailor on the decrease, the Pal Zileri Abito Privato, better known as the made to measure range concept has boomed. The custom service label in the Pal Zileri collection has grown so fast that it is offered outside the trademark Pal Zileri stores, with the service now available in your own home.

The formation of the session is always the same; Measurements are taken in the classic Italian tailoring way, blended with Pal Zileri’s own guidelines. The attention to detail is second to none and this shows with the final product being a one-of-a-kind suit for the fortunate individual. With a wide range of available fabrics, there will always be the perfect combination of feel and style to suit.  The wide array of finishing touches ensures the product is entirely up to the client’s specification. For example the linings and buttons for the jackets are totally versatile and this means the client can create his perfect package. Even the colour of the thread is adapted to complement the end product. Unrivalled attention is paid to the unique physique of the client. For example most people are unaware until this event that they have a slightly sloping shoulder, arms of different lengths or different length legs. This means the garment can be designed for you, even if you aren’t designed for the perfect garment, because let’s face it we don’t all look like the model in the brochure.
